Two junior business majors have been named this year's recipients of a $5,000 University of Massachusetts scholarship awarded in honor of a Boston Marathon bombing victim.
Charmagne Loyola, who attends UMass-Dartmouth, and Eva Leibbrandt, a student at UMass-Boston, are scheduled to receive Krystle Campbell scholarships at a ceremony Monday.
Like Campbell, Loyola and Leibbrandt are business students and have worked in the restaurant industry.
Leibbrandt, who graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School, is a management major with a 3.99 grade point average.
Loyola, who has lived in New York, Mississippi, Hawaii and California, is a marketing major with a 4.0 GPA.
Krystle Campbell was one of three people killed in the April 15, 2013, blasts. The restaurant manager attended UMass-Boston from 2005 to 2007 and received a degree posthumously.
