2 Suspects Sought After Man Assaulted, Carjacked

The victim, who met police at the Edgemere Mini Mart, told police he agreed to help a friend with a ride to Vale Street

Police in Worcester, Massachusetts, say they are looking for two suspects after a man said he was held up at knifepoint, beaten and carjacked.

The incident happened Tuesday night around 5 on Vale Street.

The victim, who met police at the Edgemere Mini Mart, told police he agreed to help a friend with a ride to Vale Street.

When they arrived, two men approached the vehicle. One man got in the backseat and held a knife to the victim's throat. They then demanded that the victim give up his vehicle.

The suspects then punched the man until he was able to break free. He then ran to the Edgemere Mini Mart and told police he car the suspects drive off with his friend in the direction of Providence Street.

The vehicle is a good 2006 Honda Civic. The license plate is unknown.

The first suspect was a heavyset male with long hair in his mid-20s. He was wearing a white shirt and jeans.

The second suspect had a thin build, was tall and was wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts.

The victim refused medical treatment.
