Twenty-nine thin and matted ragdoll cats were removed from a home in Whitman, Massachusetts, on Nov. 14.
The cats, ranging in age from eight weeks to seven years old, suffer from upper respiratory infections. This is the result of too many cats living in a confined space.
The owner voluntarily surrendered the cats upon realizing the situation had gotten out of control. No charges have been filed.
The cats are in an isolated treatment room at the MSPCA-Angell in Boston.
They will be placed for adoption beginning next week.
