Fire crews in Newton, Massachusetts, knocked down a three-alarm fire that started in a liquor store basement early Monday morning.
The fire at Gordon's Fine Wines & Liquors on Austin Street took about 20 minutes to knock down.
Fire crews say they thought the fire was in the Star Market at first until they noticed smoke building up in the liquor store.
They say the fire was difficult to fight because there was no ventilation in the basement and only one way in and out.
The damage is estimated at $500,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
