6 Arrested in Prostitution Sting in Peabody, Massachusetts

A prostitution sting after a three month long investigation at this Peabody home netted six arrests on sex trafficking and drug charges.
Four of the women arrested appeared in court Monday, as prosecutors alleged undercover officers went into the home twice and were offered sex for a fee.

Prosecutor Janelle Amadon said, "He told her that he wanted more than a massage and she stated that she would do that for an extra donation, it would be full service and not just a massage."

31-year-old Judith Deandrade, 31-year-old Nicole Marcellino and 28-year-old Jessica Marino say they rented rooms from 48-year-old homeowner Dawn Spurr.

When asked, "Was there prostitution going on inside the house?" Marino answered, "No it's all massage, it's legally massages - yes I might have had a condom in my room but how old am I? I mean I don't want to get pregnant."

Deandrade's mother says allegations that her daughter rubbed the officer's genital area through clothing is not true.

Linda Deandrade said, "What happened was originally when that cop came in, she did a touch test and she went to grab his groin and he pulled her away."

Meanwhile Spurr faces even more serious charges for allegedly violating federal probation.

Amadon said, "She is on pretrial probation out of federal court in Boston for aiding and abetting a bank robbery."

Court documents show Spurr has been linked to about a half dozen bank robberies and allegedly admitted to her role in at least three of them.

Marino said, "That's why they have Dawn, and they're holding that stuff against her."
