Accessible Ice Skating for Disabled People

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation offered all-inclusive ice skating for people with disabilities.

Sunday was a great day on the ice for some in Brockton, Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation's Universal Access Program offered ice skating and sit-skating for individuals with disabilities. Wheelchairs, ice sleds and conventional skates were all welcomed.

People enjoyed gently-competitive games on the ice.

The program strives for inclusion for all.

Winter activities in state parks are available in January, February and March. The program also offers cycling, boating and horseback riding in the summer and fall.
