Arrest Made in 2010 Slaying

Police say 23-year-old James Hilliard was shot nine times on Oct. 19, 2010 as he was getting into his vehicle.

Authorities have made an arrest in the slaying four years ago of a Brockton, Massachusetts, man who was gunned down in the driveway of his mother's home.

Police say 23-year-old James Hilliard was shot nine times on Oct. 19, 2010 as he was getting into his vehicle.

The Enterprise reports that the victim's mother watched from her window as her son was slain.

Prosecutors said in court Tuesday that 22-year-old Tequan Brown waited on a bicycle outside the home before opening fire. He was arrested based on new evidence from a witness who saw Brown on a bicycle in the area at the time of the shooting.

Brown was held without bail after pleading not guilty to murder and gun offenses.

Prosecutors say Hilliard and Brown had a "longstanding beef."
