At Least One Dog Dead in a House Fire in Mass.

At least one dog killed in a massive house fire on Saturday afternoon in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.

According to affiliate WJAR, fire officials responded to a fire at 164 Summer St. just before 4:45 p.m.  Although the residents were not home during the fire, two dogs were inside the home. 

Although the remains of only one of the dogs was found, officials believe both perished in the fire.

The cause of the fire has not yet been identified.

Police say the house is a total loss, and the residents are currently displaced.
