A bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck Thursday afternoon in a Boston hit-and-run.
Officials confirm that the male victim was taken to Boston Medical Center after being struck at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Boylston Street just after 3 p.m.
Witnesses say the unidentified man hit his head pretty hard and was bleeding. Police say the victim's injuries are not life-threatening.
"I could see the car, he came so fast, he hit the guy in the head so hard, I could hear the 'bang' noise, like 'pow,'" said Francisco Rosado, who was at the scene.
Several witnesses say a small red or maroon SUV pulled over briefly, then took off. They tell necn they took down the vehicle's license plate number.
"They didn't look, the guy just leave the scene, like that," said Rosado.
Police are investigating.
