Feasting with friends and family on Thanksgiving is a tradition for many, and for some, so is Black Friday shopping. Massachusetts shoppers lined up Thursday night outside of some stores to try and get the best deals.
In Boston’s South Shore, Robin Needleman and her daughter Rebecca jumped in line at PINK, around 4:30 Friday morning.
Needleman said, “My daughter bamboozled me into doing this."
They came at a good time, as midnight shoppers were winding down, taking breaks, grabbing a seat and caffeine.
The South Shore Plaza General Manager says when the stores opened at 12:01a.m. it was a different story.
General Manager Rick Tonzi said it was, "Extremely robust, a sea of humanity."
At the Wrentham Outlets, some people told us they didn’t sleep all night. Another pair we spoke to said they came from Canada and planned a trip to get the best savings.
At Burlington Mall, some shoppers said their desire to get the best deals outweighed their concerns about crowds.
"At first I didn't want to go because I don't like busy things like crowds, but when I finally got all of this stuff and noticed all the big deals, it was really fun," Amelia Coulton said.
