A survivor of the Boston Marathon bombing who lost a leg says she is now "without fear" of the man accused of being behind the attack.
Rebekah DiMartino, who was injured in the April 15, 2013 attack, had several surgeries before having part of her leg amputated.
DiMartino was one of many survivors who attended the first day of the trial of accused bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is facing the death penalty.

In a letter she posted to her Facebook page, DiMartino recalls the fear she felt on the day of the bombing and her resolution to not let her life be ruled by fear.

Bombing survivors and witnesses are expected to take the stand throughout Tsarnaev's trial.
Tsarnaev's defense has admitted he is responsible for the attack, but is arguing the influence his brother, Tamerlan, had on him.
