Boston Mayor Marty Walsh to Announce Plans to Save High Schools' Budgets

Mayor Walsh's move comes days after thousands of students walked out of classes across the city

Mayor Marty Walsh is planning to announce that teacher jobs and popular programs won't be cut from Boston high schools, according to a report.

The Boston Globe says Walsh's move is a direct result of the efforts of thousands of high school students who staged a walkout earlier this week.

The school district will reportedly delay funding for new programs and move money from district-wide budget items.
