A Boston Police Department cruiser was struck by a car on Thursday night.
According to the department, the crash occurred around 10 p.m. at Washington and School Streets near the E-13 station.
The cruiser was struck by a car while driving through the intersection.
Both vehicles ended up on the sidewalk.
The officer and the operator of the car were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
The operator of the car that struck the cruiser was identified as Chazreyl Francis, age 27, of Mattapan.
He was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.

Francis will be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on Friday.
