Police say a man was fatally shot and a woman was injured at a Boston home that was also the site of a fire.
Police say the victims, who were married, were found late Tuesday morning at the three-story house at 332 Harvard Street in the city's Dorchester neighborhood.
The 37-year-old male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds was declared dead at the scene. He was later identified as Richard Long of Boston.
A 34-year-old woman, who was clutching an infant, had a gash on her head. She was taken to Brigham and Women's hospital, and her injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening.
The infant was not hurt and is now with a grandmother.
The fire appears to have been intentionally set.
Boston Police Commissioner William Evans says the incident remains under investigation.
