Brewster Police Officer Rescues Ducklings

The officer rescued five ducklings

A Brewster, Massachusetts, police officer rescued five baby ducklings after they were found in the middle of the road.

According to the department, Officer Mei was working a road detail when he noticed traffic was stopped up the road.

Upon arrival Officer Mei found members from the Brewster Veterinary Hospital assisting the ducklings.

During the assist, one of the ducklings fell into a storm drain but Officer Mei was able to remove the cover and rescue the duckling.

Animal Control arrived on scene and tried to locate the mother but was unable to.

They transported the ducklings to the Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable.
