Cambridge Woman Faces Judge Following Road Rage Incident That Injured Scooter Drivers

A 21-year-old woman is set to face a judge on Wednesday after she was charged in connection with a road rage incident that left two scooter drivers injured.

Jakyrah Pires of Cambridge, Massachusetts allegedly struck two Everett residents with her vehicle near the intersection of Broadway and Lexington Street.

Officials received a call about the incident around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Everett police.

The victims, a man and a woman, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Details on what led up to the hit-and-run were not immediately clear.

Pires was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury and driving to endanger.

She is expected to be arraigned in Malden District Court. It is unclear if she has an attorney.
