Driver Dead After Car Crashes Into Beverly, Mass. CVS Store

A 24-year-old woman is dead after her car crashed into a CVS pharmacy overnight in Beverly, Massachusetts in what police said appeared to be an intentional act. 

Police said the woman's car crashed into the side of the CVS on Dodge Street sometime before 2 a.m., killing the driver. The vehicle left a gaping hole in the structure.

Upon arrival, officers found the driver suffering from self-inflicted injuries as well as injuries she sustained in the crash. She was taken to Beverly Hospital, where she died.

According to a preliminary investigation the crash appeared to be the result of an intentional act. Authorities did not release the woman's name.

Footage from the scene showed products scattered throughout the store from the crash. The car’s front and rear were severely damaged.

No other injuries were reported.
