Car Crashes Into Home in Foxboro, Massachusetts

A Massachusetts family is looking for a new place to spend their holidays this season, after a car crashed into their living room early Friday morning - leaving their Foxboro home uninhabitable and Christmas tree covered in debris.

Police said a 16-year-old driver was traveling from Foxboro Sports Club around 7 a.m. when he crashed his Chevy Tahoe into the front of the Weidmans' home. The family's car was also seriously damaged in the crash, with the total cost of the damages estimated near $80,000.

No one was injured.

"I was getting up to put the trash out and I heard a loud noise - sounded like an explosion," Harry Weidman told necn. "There was no front. That whole front section [of our home] was gone."

Police said they are investigating the accident, but so far, the minor has not been charged with a crime.

As for the Weidmans, they'll need to make some quick last-minute plans.

"We'll make due. We had a bunch [of people] coming over for Christmas but it looks like we'll be looking for somewhere else," Weidman said.
