A child was struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Amesbury, Massachusetts.
Police confirm a boy was hit near the intersection of Friend Street and Maple Street just before 4:30 p.m.
Officers responded and searched for witnesses while paramedics tended to the child, who was transported to a hospital to be evaluated.
The extent of the child's injuries was not known.
No arrests have been made.
