A man wanted for kidnapping a child in Massachusetts was arrested Thursday in Rhode Island as a fugitive from justice.
Robert E. Scott of Providence is charged with kidnapping a child, indecent assault on a person 14 or younger, armed burglary, witness intimidation and threats to commit a crime.
Rhode Island State Police responded to a tip that the suspect was seen in the area of 27 Greeley Street.
Scott appeared in court in Rhode Island and waived his extradition to Massachusetts. He was scheduled to be taken into custody by Fall River Police before being arraigned in that city.
