Cops: Man Arrested for 6th OUI After Hit-and-Run

Police say Scott Tatro was highly intoxicated, had an outstanding warrant was a suspended driver’s license

Police in Auburn, Massachusetts, say they have arrested a man for his sixth OUI offense after he allegedly rear-ended a vehicle Sunday evening and sped off.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. in the area of Route 20 at Millbury Street when a black pick-up truck rear-ended another vehicle in traffic, police say.

Officers found the reported vehicle nearby in an industrial park and identified the driver as 41-year-old Scott Tatro, of Worcester.

Police say he was highly intoxicated, had an outstanding warrant was a suspended driver’s license.

It was determined Tatro was convicted of operating under the influence five times prior.

Tatro allegedly told police he had not been properly licensed for 15 years and kept driving because he “didn’t care.”

He was held on $5,000 bail and will be arraigned Tuesday morning for a sixth offense of OUI, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
