Amid a blizzard bringing fierce winds and heavy snow to New England, firefighters in Worcester, Massachusetts, took down a two-alarm fire.

The fire started around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on Alvarado Ave.

Six adults, including one pregnant woman, and four kids all escaped.

Officials say fire hydrants were cleared, but just slightly frozen. Harsh winds and snow made conditions difficult for the crews.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
