Man Burned in 2-Alarm Fire

Officials responded to the blaze on Essex Street in Chelsea, Massachusetts.

Crews say a 49-year-old man was badly burned in a two-alarm fire Sunday evening in Chelsea, Massachusetts.

The blaze broke out at 75 Essex Street. Officials with the Massachusetts Fire Marshal's Office were on the way to the scene shortly before 9 p.m.

The victim, who was the sole occupant of the home, was rescued from the building. His current condition is unknown, but he is expected to survive.
