A mother and daughter escaped a heavy fire Thursday in Abington, Massachusetts.
The 2-alarm blaze broke out at a home at 111 Monroe St., starting on the outside porch and spreading to the second floor.
Crews responded around 4:05 p.m. The residents were inside when they smelled the fire and left.
Officials do not consider the fire to be suspicious, but the cause is being investigated.
No one was injured.
