Investigators of Woburn Deadly Hit-and-Run Seek Help IDing Truck

Police are hoping to speak with anyone who might have seen a red or maroon dump truck or tractor-trailer in the area of the crash

Two days after a man was killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash in Woburn, Massachusetts, authorities are still looking for the public's help identifying the other vehicle.

A red or maroon dump truck or tractor-trailer is believed to have hit the motorcycle while the truck was believed to be traveling north on I-95 around midnight Tuesday morning, according to a statement issued Thursday by state police and county prosecutors.

The crash may have damaged the truck's tire or area around the wheel.

Woburn resident Matthew Carr, was killed in the crash, north of I-95's exit 35. He had been driving a Suzuki GSXR60 motorcycle, police said.

Police are hoping to speak with anyone who might have seen a truck matching the description they gave driving on I-95 in the area before midnight or on I-93 anywhere south of exit 37A on I-95. They are also looking to speak with any repair shops in the area that might match the truck's description.

Anyone with information can call the Massachusetts State Police investigator on the case at 979-538-6161 or 781-897-6600.
