Service on the MBTA Red Line has resumed after crews responded to a derailed train on Tuesday morning in Dorchester.
Slight delays are still expected as the train begins to run again for commuters. Shuttle buses acted as a substitute between the Red Line's Ashmont and JFK/UMass station for several hours while crews tended to the derailed train.
Officials announced the trouble shortly after 5:30 a.m. and announced that service was back on track at about 9 a.m.
It is unclear what caused the train to derail.
No injuries were reported.
