Two men are accused of beating a dog with a stick in Rutland, Massachusetts, according to officials.
The dog owners ran after the men when they saw the incident occur Saturday on Maple Avenue.
The men escaped in a black car.
The dog was taken to an emergency vet with severe injuries.
It's believed the attack is an isolated incident.
