Numerous dolphins were spotted frolicking in waters off Massachusetts where they don't normally go Tuesday, creating a magnificent sight captured by environmental officers.
Massachusetts Environmental Police shared video of the bottlenose dolphins jumping out of the water of Buzzards Bay. The officers who filmed the encounter "met some out-of-towners," the department joked in a Facebook post.
The officers encountered the marine animals while out on patrol around 3:30 p.m., The Boston Globe reports. An officer told the newspaper he estimates there could have been "thousands" of dolphins in the peculiar spot. They are seldom seen in the Buzzards Bay.
