Elderly Victim in Fatal Leominster, Mass. Fire Identified

Authorities have identified an elderly woman who died in a fire at a Leominster, Massachusetts, home.

The fire was reported at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.

The Telegram & Gazette reports a spokesman for the Worcester District Attorney's Office says 90-year-old Anna McCormack was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

McCormack was the only person home at the time. A spokesman for the state Fire Marshal says she was the 14th person to die in a fire in Massachusetts so far this year.

Authorities are investigating.
