Massachusetts is paying tribute to its veterans with parades and other events around the state.
Gov. Charlie Baker on Wednesday is scheduled to preside over the annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Statehouse. Later in the day, Baker plans to announce a housing loan program for vets and visit the Chelsea Soldiers Home.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is scheduled to announce a funding commitment for "Homes for the Brave," a program designed to help homeless veterans.
Boston's Veterans Day parade is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Boylston and Tremont Street. Parades are also scheduled in several other cities including Worcester and Springfield.
