Extreme Heat Prompts Early School Releases in Mass.

Framingham High School will release students at 10:50 a.m.

With the record breaking heat in Boston and other parts of Massachusetts, some schools are already saying they will release students early Wednesday

Framingham High School will release students at 10:50 a.m.

Middle schools and McCarthy School will release students at 11:25 a.m.

Elementary schools will release at either 12:05 or 12:15 p.m., except for King School, which will release its students at 12:30 p.m.

Blocks Preschool will have a morning session only and release at its normal dismissal time of 10:55 a.m.

School district officials in Lawrence are also taking precautions.

There will be no pre-k or Kindergarten Wednesday.

All other students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.

The high school and middle school in the Quabbin Regional school district will be released at 10:35 a.m. Elementary schools will be released at 11:40 a.m.

Maine School Administrative District 60 will be sending students home early. This includes the Maine towns of Berwick, north Berwick and Lebanon. 

K-5 dismissed at noon.

6-12 will be dismissed at 11 a.m.
