Forty-nine-year-old Luis Rosa was convicted of sexual assault for repeatedly raping his girlfriend's pre-teen daughter for years

A Fall River, Massachusetts man was sentenced to up to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s tween daughter on multiple occasions for years, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.

Luis Rosa, 49, pleaded guilty to several charges including rape of a child aggravated by age and indecent assault and battery on a person under 14. He was convicted on Wednesday in Fall River Superior Court.

The District Attorney’s Office says Rosa sexually assaulted the child numerous times between 2013 through 2017 at a home he shared with the girl’s mother. The victim revealed the abuse in the summer of 2017.

Once Rosa is released from prison, he will be placed on supervised probation for 10 years, officials said. He will be ordered to undergo sex offender treatment and will be barred from contacting the victim.
