One firefighter was transported to the hospital for treatment after crews battled a garage fire at a home in Centerville, Massachusetts, Sunday morning.
Upon arriving at 182 Skunknet Road, firefighters discovered a fire burning in the garage of a single-family home. Two off-duty firefighters were already at the scene attempting to combat the blaze with fire extinguishers supplied by the homeowner.
The crew was able to confine the fire to the garage. The living area of the home sustained some smoke damage. The home's occupants were unharmed.
One firefighter was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for medical evaluation.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
