Teen Killed in Crash in Brockton, Mass. Identified

The boy, identified as Madio Djalo, was pronounced dead at the scene

School grief counselors were on hand Wednesday after a 14-year-old boy was struck and killed Tuesday evening in Brockton, Massachusetts.

Crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Main Street and Plain Street.

The boy, identified as Madio Djalo, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.

An 18-year-old male was driving the car. He stopped and is cooperating with police. No charges have been announced.

According to Mayor Bill Carpenter, he is upset and has been taken to a hospital for observation.

Counselors were deployed to Brockton High School, as well as an elementary and middle school where the victim has siblings that attend. 

The crash remains under investigation.
