Over 500 Harvard University dining hall workers are protesting with pictures of their children in hopes of appealing to Harvard University President Drew Faust on October 14, 2016.
Workers are protesting for a higher salary and against out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.
The dining hall workers have been on strike since Oct. 5, requesting $35,000 a year and more affordable health insurance.
Workers were unable to reach an agreement with Harvard administrators. They are looking to reach out to fellows as well as top officials.
The rally will take place during Faust's speech at an alumni reunion.
Demonstrators believe that Faust will be able to help the two parties come to an agreement that will benefit them and their families. Faust is ranked as the 33rd most powerful woman in the world and is Harvard University's first woman president.
Students, faculty and alumni will join the dining hall workers during the protest.
