One Killed in House Fire in Plymouth, Massachusetts

Authorities said they found the victim, Robert Drude, 64, in the entry way of the home

One person was killed in a house fire Wednesday night in Plymouth, Massachusetts, authorities confirmed.

The fire broke out at a home at 84 Ellisville Road around 10 p.m.

Authorities said they found the victim, Robert Drude, 64, in the entry way of the home. He was determined to be deceased at the scene.

Drude was believed to be the sole occupant of the home.

A neighbor told necn they heard a loud explosion before the fire began.

The Massachusetts Fire Marshal's Office confirmed the fatality. Plymouth Fire, Plymouth Police and the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office also responded.

Officials say the fire is not suspicious and no foul play is expected. Damage is estimated at $800,000.

The fire remains under investigation.
