End of an Era: Anthony's Pier 4 Demolished

For decades, Anthony's was the place to see and be seen in Boston.

Popes, presidents and celebrities all dined there, as well as regular people, before it closed three years ago.

In its heyday in the mid 1980's, Anthony's was the highest grossing restaurant in America.

Remembering Iconic Anthony's Pier 4 Restaurant

The new construction will still be called Pier Four.

In a note on the restaurant's website they thank their customers and say their father, who started the restaurant, had a vision of what Boston’s Seaport could be, and that this is the next step in seeing his vision come to fruition.
