The Massachusetts State Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office are working with MassDOT to expand outreach in an effort to identify the remains of a girl found dead on a Boston beach in June.
The image of the little girl found dead on a Deer Island beach has been placed on 84 billboards across the state of Massachusetts as investigators continue to seek assistance with identifying the unknown toddler.
The billboards feature text and phone tip lines and a computer-generated image of the child. The 84 billboards are scattered across 50 locations.
Anyone with information on the child's identity can text the word GIRL followed by their tip to the number 67283. The text-a-tip line is completely anonymous.
A phone line is also available at 617-396-5655.
A woman walking her dog on June 25 discovered the child's remains in a trash bag. Investigators say the child was found wearing white leggings with black-and-white polka dots. A zebra-print blanket was also found in the bag.
Investigators say the girl is believed to have been about 4 years old, had brown eyes and brown hair, weighed about 30 pounds, and stood about 3½ feet tall.
