Iowa Man Who Threatened Boston Islamic Group Sentenced

Gerald Wayne Ledford of Clinton pleaded guilty in August to one count of transmitting threatening communication in interstate commerce

An Iowa man who pleaded guilty to posting messages threatening to kill Muslims on the Facebook page of a Boston Islamic group was sentenced to four years of probation with the first six months to be served in home confinement.

According to the FBI's Boston division, Clinton was arrested in Iowa/

The 57-year-old admitted to leaving two threats on the Facebook page for the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center in October 2014. One included a photo of a man with a gun and said "This is for you." Ledford admitted he targeted the group because of its religious affiliation.
