Authorities: 2 Charged After Explosives, Firearms Found in Home

Andrew J. Josefek, 40, and Kelly L. Walker, 35, both Framingham residents, face various charges

Two people are facing various weapons and explosives charges in Massachusetts after police say they were found with guns and what appears to be homemade explosives after assaulting a person.

Andrew J. Josefek, 40, and Kelly L. Walker, 35, both Framingham residents, face various charges, including carrying firearms without licenses, possession of explosives, assault with intent to rob, conspiracy to violate drug laws and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

They were both arraigned Tuesday.

Police in Marlborough say they received a call just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday from a person on Boston Post Road saying there was a man outside of the door with a firearm.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Josefek, who had a firearm and two knives on him, and that he had assaulted a person. He was then arrested.

During their investigation, police officers discovered that Josefek went to Marlborough with a woman who was still in the area driving his car. When the vehicle was stopped on Boston Post Road a short while later, they found Walker behind the wheel and saw there was a shotgun and what appeared to be homemade explosive devices in the vehicle.

Walker was arrested, and police in Marlborough called in the state police's bomb squad unit, which in turn contacted federal ATF agents.

Law enforcement were able to safely secure the explosive devices in the vehicle, and detectives were able to get a search warrant for a home on Indian Head Road in Framingham Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the search of the home is ongoing.
