A Massachusetts man is facing charges in Maine after allegedly sending police on multiple police chases over the course of two days.
Maine State Police say 22-year-old Tyler Keating of West Harwich was arrested early Friday morning in Kennebunk for allegedly eluding a police officer and failing to submit to arrest.
Troopers and Portland police officers tried to stop Keating's VW Jetta in separate instances earlier Thursday night and in a separate instance a week earlier, according to authorities.
Police say Keating's car was finally stopped using a PIT maneuver with a trooper cruiser as Keating was trying to get on the Maine Turnpike. However, Keating then took off on foot and hid in nearby woods until he was discovered a short time later.
No one was injured in the pursuits.
It's unclear when Keating will be arraigned or if he has an attorney.
