A man who allegedly tried to pin a police officer against a building with his car was arrested after leading authorities on a pursuit from Massachusetts to Rhode Island.
The incident started when the Pawtucket, Rhode Island man allegedly tried to pin an officer during a traffic stop. The man, who was later identified as Jonathan Cleveland, was pulled over because of a registration issue, according to Foxborough police.
Cleveland sped off after the confrontation and initiated a pursuit in Wrentham, where he allegedly hit a police cruiser and drove toward another. The suspect then entered Cumberland, Rhode Island, where he pulled into a driveway and surrendered to officials.
Foxborough police said the man will face charges in Wrentham District Court. Authorities said they are working on obtaining a governor's warrant to extradite him to Massachusetts.
No officers were hurt in the incident.
