The Maynard, Massachusetts, Police Department have arrested a man for his fifth Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol offense.
Joseph P. Lynsky, 74, of Maynard, was charged with OUI of Liquor, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Operating with a Defective Tire.
On the morning of Saturday, March 12, an officer on Main Street was alerted to a vehicle driving on its rim. The officer continued down the road and found the vehicle operating almost completely on its rim.
The officer then observed the driver, Lynsky, exit the driver's seat of the vehicle. After stopping to assist the driver, he noticed Lynsky was very unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol.
Following an investigation, Lynsky was arrested. He was released on bail and was arraigned at Concord District Court on Monday.
