A Massachusetts man has been charged after allegedly taking "upskirting" photos of a woman.
Wareham police say officers responded to a call from a clothing store at Wareham Crossing Shopping center around 4 p.m. on Wednesday about suspicious activity involving a man taking photos of a female customer.
Police say that their investigation revealed the suspect was taking "upskirting" photos of his victim with his cell phone.
The suspect fled the store when he was caught by the victim, according to police.
During their investigation, Wareham detectives got a warrant for 29-year-old Gregory Allen Mattos of Onset, a listed Level 2 sex offender currently on bail for allegedly failing to register as a sex offender as the result of an unrelated case.
Mattos was arrested early Thursday afternoon by Wareham and New Bedford police officers and charged with unlawful sexual surveillance.
A judge ordered his bail on the previous case revoked and a new bail of $7,500 on the new charge in the "upskirting" case.
