Man Critical After Being Rescued From River

Crews found the 49-year-old man unconscious near the Basketball Hall of Fame

A man is in critical condition after he was pulled from the Connecticut River in Springfield, Massachusetts, Monday night.

Rescue crews received a call around 7:30 p.m. reporting that the man was in the river, according to necn affiliate WWLP.

Crews found the 49-year-old man unconscious near the Basketball Hall of Fame. Rescue personal performed CPR on the man and he was transported to Baystate Medical Center, where he remained unconscious and in critical condition as of 11 Monday night.

The man has not been identified.
