A man accused of stabbing a male relative, raping a woman and then driving both victims 800 miles from his Boxborough, Massachusetts, home to Ohio has been charged in southern Ohio with escape and theft.
Court officials say 21-year-old Kevin Blakemore was arraigned Monday in Pike County Court in Waverly on charges of escape and grand theft of a motor vehicle. Bond was set at $91,500 for Blakemore, who was being held in the Scioto County jail. Court officials say Blakemore doesn't have an attorney yet but will be appointed a public defender.
Court officials say no plea was entered for Blakemore on the felony charges.
Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader says Blakemore was arrested Sunday at a hospital where the stabbed relative went for treatment.
