A man in his 50s was killed overnight when he was hit by an MBTA Commuter Rail train in Chelsea, Massachusetts, according to transit police.
Authorities said they received a call at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday of a person who was possibly hit by a train near Everett and Maple Streets.
An investigation determined the pedestrian, whose name was not released, was hit by an inbound Rockport Line train and had died of his injuries.
Transit police said foul play is not suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
