Man Indicted for Girlfriend's Murder

A man charged with killing his girlfriend in Marblehead, Massachusetts, was indicted for the crime on Wednesday.

John Devine, 28, faced a grand jury Wednesday. He was arrested after his girlfriend, 51-year-old Tanya Nichols, was found dead on Dec. 21 in the Sparhawk Terrace home they shared.

Police say that back in November, Devine had been arrested for assaulting and threatening to kill Nichols. According to authorities, Devine did not cooperate with prosecutors in that case.

Devine was ordered to be held without bail, and his bail in the assault case was revoked. He will be arraigned at an unspecified date.
