Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Massachusetts, was on lockdown Thursday night after a suspect brought a pellet gun into the emergency room.
The 45-year-old Boston man was in the emergency room for treatment when staff noticed the man trying to hide the weapon. Staff followed emergency protocol and notified police.
Upon arrival, police seized the weapon without incident. It was not loaded and the suspect did not brandish it at anyone.
According to police, the suspect was left at the hospital for treatment and is set to appear in Lawrence District Court on a disorderly conduct charge.
