Two Cape Cod beaches were closed to swimmers after great white sharks were spotted near shore Thursday morning.
The first sighting was reported at Marconi Beach shortly before 11:40 a.m., according to the Sharktivity app.
On Tuesday, two sharks were spotted about a mile away from Marconi Beach. Swimmers were urged to use caution and stay in the shallow water.
A second shark sighting was reported Thursday around 1:20 p.m., when a great white was seen about 50 yards off Nauset Public Beach.
